LATEST | Canucks make an official statement regarding Quinn Hughes and the team's record book

There's not much Quinn Hughes hasn't done this season. It's no secret that he's been having a devastating season offensively and it appears he's not done yet.

The Canucks are visiting the Blackhawks in Chicago and Phil Di Giuseppe scored the tying goal with seconds remaining in the second period. A goal on which Hughes recorded yet another assist.

Hughes tallied his 64th assist of the campaign and his 69th point on the year in just as many games. He established a new mark for the most points by a defenceman in a single season. He also held the previous record with 68, however, he still has 9 games to extend that record:
