MAJOR | Tocchet confirms great news for Aidan McDonough
It had been previously discussed with the team's head coach Rick Tocchet, but everything points toward the team's top prospect Aidan McDonough making his NHL Debut in Chicago this afternoon.
The Canucks will be visiting the wind city and Tocchet had informed the media that he wanted to give McDonough a few practices and time for his parents to come down to see the youngster's first NHL appearance. Rick Tocchet confirmed his presence in the line-up in his media availability prior to the Canucks' afternoon tilt:
"He'll definitely be in tonight...It's a big moment for him. Hopefully, we give him a nice win."
Tocchet revealed that the Canucks had flown his parents to Chicago. At this moment there is no confirmation as to who will be sitting in favor of McDonough. We'll surely know closer to game time.
McDonough joined the team once his collegiate career came to an end and will be making his NHL debut against the Hawks in Chicago. As previously confirmed by the team, he will be wearing number 25.
