LATEST | We now know what's in store for the newly acquired Akito Hirose
The Canucks announced that they agreed upon a contract for the remainder of the season with the defenseman Akito Hirose.
Up to this point there were no confirmation as to where the rookie would begin his professional career and now it was revealed that he'd be reporting to Vancouver and not Abbotsford:
�' Hirose is reporting to Vancouver - not Abbotsford.''
He was even spotted at the Canucks practice appearing to wear to number 36. The Canucks will be playing the Flames at home next on Friday and Rick Tocchet will determine when he'll take his first NHL strides.
The defenseman was quite happy to be in Vancouver and he shared his excitement with the reporters:
