MAJOR | The NHL hints on the next city getting an expansion team

The NHL has done a fairly decent job when it comes to having all 32 teams being competitive, especially it comes to their most recent franchises the Vegas Golden Knights and Seattle Kraken.
After missing the playoffs just once since joining the NHL, the Golden Knights are in looking like they'll win the Pacific Division. As for the Seattle Kraken, it looks like they are heading to the playoffs in just their second year in existence, and attendance is super strong having the NHL seriously considering expansion.
According to NHL Rumors Dailey:
The NHL is "very interested" in getting a team back in Atlanta, and there is a solid group that wants to make it happen.
The Atlanta Thrashers joined the NHL back on June 25th, 1997 and began playing back in the 1999-2000 season. They lasted a decade leaving Atlanta after the 2010-11 season before relocating to Winnipeg and being renamed the Jets.
