MAJOR | Update on Tanner Pearson and the Canucks are in TROUBLE
It's been a heck of a ride for the Canucks' veteran forward Tanner Pearson. He hurt his hand back in November 2022, was completely shut down in January and it appears no progress was made since then.
Rick Dhaliwal gave a really important update on this subject earlier today when he stated that they were now up to 6 or 7 surgeries and that there still weren't any confirmation that he'd be ready to go next year:
''The latest on Pearson is that he has had 6-7 surgeries so far and the hope is he is done with surgeries. The re-hab is still a long road ahead for Pearson, still too early to know if he will play next season.''
It had already been stated that the NHLPA was going to be investigating this situation further, but Elliotte Friedman stated an even worse news on top of that:
'' If he can not play again, I expect a grievance to be filed. It is uncertain if he will play again. The Canucks will have to defend themselves if he is prevented from another contract.''
It appears that the Canucks could be going to court over that situation. Pearson was limited to only 14 games season, managing 5 points along the way.
