The Vancouver Canucks have had their struggles this season especially when it comes to goaltending.
Thatcher Demko has had a tough year battling injuries and backups Collin Delia and Arturs Silovs have done the best they can all things considered, but should the Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin consider grabbing Seattle Kraken's goaltender Chris Driedger?
Earlier today, Hockey Insider David Pagnotta announced that the Seattle Kraken placed Driedger on waivers. The 28-year-old made a huge impression when he was a Florida Panther and was picked up by the Kraken in the expansion draft.
Driedger was on the Kraken's injured reserve list and missed the entire season with a torn ACL. But he is ready to get back to playing so the Kraken sent him down to their AHL affiliate if he clears waivers.
This could be a good pick up with the rumors that Demko will likely be traded this off-season. In that case, Driedger would be a solid back up plan.
