We've finally got a idea what the Vancouver Canucks are looking for in return for defenceman Luke Schenn. The big rugged stay-at-home defenceman has been getting plenty of team's calling the Canucks about him.
Yesterday, Schenn was made a healthy scratch before the game vs the Nashville Predators, and today the Canucks called up defenceman Guillaume Brisebois from the Canucks' AHL affiliate, which have many believing a trade is imminent.
With that said we didn't know what Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin was looking for until now. According to Sportsnet's Hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman:
The Canucks are looking for a late second-round pick or early third-round. Friedman would also reveal there is multiple currently in the bidding for Schenn.>
This is good news, bad news for the Canucks. Good news they'll get a decent draft pick for Schenn, the bad news it seems a lot of Schenn's teammates including former linemate, Quinn Hughes, isn't happy him being traded.
