Two new names on waivers
The Colorado Avalanche and the Toronto Maple Leafs have used the waivers once again.
Per Elliotte Friedman, the Toronto Maple Leafs have, just now, waived Dryden Hunt for the purpose of his assignment to their AHL affiliate. Surprisingly enough, it wasn't long ago that Hunt was acquired in a trade against Denis Malgin.
Hunt as travelled quite a bit this year, he played with the Rangers, the Avalanche and now most likely the Marlies. In the 37 games he played this year, he managed 3 goals.
On the other side, the Avalanche have waived Anton Blidh, the Swede forward has not registered a point in 13 outings in the NHL. Colorado have been dealing with a lots of injuries this year and this roster movement is just a formality.
In other news, Jonny Brodzinski, who was waived by the Rangers yesterday, cleared and will therefore report to the Hartford WolfPack.
