Coyotes on the move: The players have been informed
A saga that has plagued the NHL for decades could end, as reports indicate there could be a "verbal agreement" to relocate the Arizona Coyotes to Salt Lake City.
Daily FaceOff's Frank Seravalli reports that despite some pushback, he's heard that players on the Coyotes have been told a move is all but certain.
Seravalli earlier reported that the NHL was preparing a Salt Lake City contingency plan. Still, over the day the insider says significant progress has been made between the NHL, Coyotes and Ryan Smith's Utah group.
While NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman has fought for decades to keep the struggling Coyotes in Arizona, it appears that battle could finally end - at least for now.
