Quinn Hughes hasn't even reach a quarter of a century and he's already making his way into the franchise's very best. Currently holding the fifth spot for the most point in franchise history, he's about to break every record a defenseman has ever set in Vancouver and should be the leader in points by the end of next year.

During the game against the Hurricanes, Hughes once again contributed to his record breaking record season as he racked up two assists. The NHL made an announcement later on confirming that his achievement was out of the ordinary.
The Canucks' superstar defenceman has been performing up to standards that were last achieved by players like Bobby Orr and Paul Coffey. Two of the greatest defensemen two ever play the game:
Quinn Hughes has already placed himself on a short all-time list with just one assist tonight. Will he climb it by the end of the night?

The captain now has 64 points through 50 games, good for league's best amongst the blueliners and the 52 assists place him behind only Nathan MacKinnon and Nikita Kucherov.
Hughes is only 12 points short of breaking is own franchise single season high in points and remains on pace for over 100 points. At this pace, Hughes will hold the record for the most points by a defenseman in franchise history some time next season.
