BREAKING | Stanley Cup winner and longtime NHL veteran announces his retirement due to injuries
It's that time of the year when players finally decide to call it. After over 700 regular season games and two Stanley Cups, the Swede forward Carl Hagelin has decided to call it a career.
The 35-year-old was a member of the H-B-K (Hagelin-Bonino-Kessel) line that was a menace back in 2016 and 2017 when the Penguins won back-to-back Stanley Cups.
Hagelin last played in 2021-2022 with the Washington Capitals and has been out of the game since then. A veteran of 12 seasons and 713 games, the Swede registered 296 points�best of luck to him as he takes the next steps in his life.
