LATEST | Canucks' first-round pick Tom Willander gives his first interview as a Canuck
The Canucks used their first-round selection to pick the right-handed shot defenseman Tom Willander. The Canucks filled a big need with this selection; Willander is a gifted skater with a right-handed shot and a big frame (6'01'', 179 pounds).
The young man gave his first interview with the Canucks' colour, and you got definitely heard the excitement in his voice:
His agent Todd Diamond also shared his feelings on the Canucks' selection:
''Tom has been a lifelong Canucks fan; he had a good meeting with the Canucks in Buffalo at the combine. This is a high-character player who plays to win, and that's what the #Canucks love about him.''
Willander will be on the ice for the team's development camp but will not attend the team's camp since he will be playing at Boston University in the NCAA's first division.
