LATEST | Rogers Arena issues official statement after controversial postponement
Last week, Rogers Arena, home of the Vancouver Canucks, unveiled a new scoreboard ahead of the 2023-24 season that's four times bigger than the previous one.
One of the first events with the new scoreboard in place was set to be Monday's Drake concert, which was the second Canadian stop of his North American tour. But just two hours before the concert was set to begin, Rogers Arena released a statement on their X account stating that due to issues with the new scoreboard, the Drake's Monday concert was being moved to Wednesday night.
"Due to unforeseen circumstances with the newly installed scoreboard at Rogers Arena, tonight's Drake performance will now take place on Wednesday, August 30. All tickets will be honoured.
Drake was ready and excited to perform. He is looking forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday and Wednesday. Rogers Arena apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause."
Let's hope that these issues won't occur once the Canucks open their 2023-24 schedule on October 11th against the Edmonton Oilers.
