The Vancouver Canucks' worst Entry Draft selection of all-time has been revealed recently and it shouldn't come as too much of a shock to fans of the team.

Throughout the course of their 55-year history, the Vancouver Canucks have had their fair share of poor draft choices, as every National Hockey League franchise has.
They've also hit a home run on numerous occasions too, most recently with captain Quinn Hughes, a Norris Trophy winner who is tied for first in Vancouver Canucks franchise history for points by a defenseman and will undoubtedly go down as one of the greatest players to ever suit up for the BC club.
Two years before the Vancouver Canucks drafted Quinn Hughes, they selected another defenseman who they were hoping would become a top-pairing guy and someone who could potentially be an elite player for them for many, many years, but for several reasons, that didn't happen.

Vancouver Canucks' worst draft pick of all-time has been revealed

One day after Pavel Bure was revealed as their best draft pick of all-time, Canucks Army asked fans of the Vancouver Canucks who they believe is the worst draft pick in the team's franchise history.
To the surprise of no one, 2016 fifth overall pick Olli Juolevi, who is currently playing overseas in Europe and got married in Finland recently, was voted as the Vancouver Canucks' worst draft pick of all-time.
"Olli Juolevi was voted as the worst draft pick in Canucks history." Canucks Army said.
Juolevi, 27, made the jump to North America during his draft year, suiting up for the Ontario Hockey League's London Knights, putting up 42 points in the regular season and 14 points in the postseason, helping his club win the not only the league championship, but also the Memorial Cup.
He returned to London after being drafted by the Canucks and once again, had a solid year, tallying 42 points in 58 regular season contests and the following season, was loaned to TPS in his home nation of Finland.
The Helsinki native finally joined the Vancouver Canucks organization in 2018, spending the entire season in the American Hockey League and due to inconsistent play, along with injuries, he only suited up for 23 games with the big club in the NHL before being traded to the Florida Panthers.
Juolevi certainly had the talent to become at least a top-four defenseman in the National Hockey League and it's unfortunate that it didn't work out for the Vancouver Canucks.
With players such as Matthew Tkachuk, Clayton Keller, Mikhail Sergachev, Charlie McAvoy and Tage Thompson all being selected after Olli Juolevi in the first round in 2016, there's no question that the Finnish blueliner is the worst pick in franchise history and has left many fans questioning where the organization would be if he had panned out.
