The Canucks will have to hang on for a bit without Thatcher Demko, as Rick Tocchet confirmed the goaltender is week to week with what could be a knee injury.

The city of Vancouver held its breath as Demko left during Saturday's win over the Winnipeg Jets.

Tocchet isn't ringing the alarm bell, but it appears the worst has been avoided, as the netminder should be back before season's end.

The 28-year-old posted his league-leading 34th win on Saturday and was named one of the NHL's stars of the week.

The Canucks called up Arturs Silovs and will count on him and Casey DeSmith while Demko recovers.

On the positive end of injury news, Tocchet says the Canucks will be getting Tyler Myers back this week. The man himself was asked to comment on his upcoming return:

Brendan Batchellor reports that the defenseman is trending in the right direction to play against Colorado on Wednesday, but he hasn't played in almost two weeks.
