The Vancouver Canucks greatest General Manager they've ever had in their 55-year franchise history has been revealed following a fan vote on social media recently.

October 9th is a significant date in Vancouver Canucks franchise history as not only does it mark their 2025-26 season opener, but it will be the 55th anniversary of their first ever game, which ended in a 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Kings.
In the last 55 years, the Vancouver Canucks have had their fair share of ups, including reaching three Stanley Cup Finals, as well as several downs, most recently the 2024-25 campaign as the club missed out on the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the fourth time in the last five seasons.
The organization has also had some great staff members that have helped push the team in the right direction - whether it be their Head Coach or General Manager, and this weekend, we found out who fans believe is the best GM in franchise history.

Vancouver Canucks' greatest GM in franchise history has been revealed

In a social media post on Sunday afternoon, Canucks Army continued their offseason polling of fans regarding multiple different categories and yesterday, it was time for them to share the results of their 'Best General Manager' poll.
To the surprise of probably no one, the late Pat Quinn was voted as the greatest General Manager in the history of the Vancouver Canucks.
"It was a tight race between Pat Quinn, Brian Burke and Mike Gillis, but Quinn was able to come out on top!" Canucks Army said.
Quinn's time with the Vancouver Canucks organization began in 1987 when he was named General Manager and President, roles he held until being let go by the club in November of 1997.
Ahead of his fourth year with the Vancouver Canucks, the club decided to appoint him Head Coach, guiding them to the Stanley Cup Playoffs in his two full seasons behind the bench before stepping back early on in the 1992-93 campaign.
During his time at the helm in Vancouver, Quinn made a number of solid trades and there's no question that the best one saw him acquire Swedish forward Markus Naslund from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Among the other notable trades Quinn made during his tenure in Vancouver include landing Kirk McLean from New Jersey in 1987; Geoff Courtnall, Sergio Momesso & Cliff Ronning from St. Louis in 1991 and Alexander Mogilny from Buffalo in 1995.
