BREAKING | Major Announcement from the Canucks on the signing of a top NCAA free agent
The Canucks were actively scouting big names among the top NCAA free agents. Today, Allvin made a major announcement in that regard.
The Canucks agreed to terms on a 2-year deal with the Western Michigan University centerman
Max Sasson. He also happens to be Dan Milstein's client.
« General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the club has agreed to terms with forward Max Sasson on a two-year, entry-level contract. He will report to the Abbotsford Canucks (AHL) on an amateur tryout contract.»
Per Allvin's announcement, Sasson will be reporting to the Abbotsford Canucks in the AHL. However, if the transition goes smoothly he might be getting a shot in the NHL this year.
Sasson is a 22-year-old left-handed shot centerman. After two years at the collegiate level he made the decision to turn pro, he managed 42 points in 38 outings as a sophomore in Western Michigan, good for 3rd in team scoring.
The Canucks were also rumored to be in on his freshman teammate,
Ryan McAllister.
