Dreger: Huge statement regarding the coaching situation in Vancouver
Bruce Boudreau came in to replace Travis Green last year. Since his tenure began, Boudreau has been good, even if management openly criticized the structure of his game plans.
It was revealed earlier this week that the new management in place wanted to replace Bruce as head coach over the summer, but they never had the green light to replace him. Knowing that a renowned Barry Trotz is available, this may cause intrigue, but Darren Dreger said :
"It's also the reason I don't believe Boudreau is going to make (last) the season... If they can make those hockey deals they feel like they can transition pretty quickly but also take advantage of the 2023 Draft."
That being said, Boudreau's contract comes to an end this summer. With statements like this one, don't expect him to be back next year, but we may assist to a coaching change during the season.
Would that be the right move?
