LATEST | Important revelation concerning the star netminder Thatcher Demko
Thatcher Demko has been a force to be reckoned with ever since he came back from his injury. The performances he had given earlier this season were not worthy of his stardom, but since Tocchet came in, he's reminded us all of why the Canucks drafted him in the first place.
There had been lots of talks surrounding the netminder suggesting that he wasn't happy with the team's situation, that he wanted out of Vancouver, and that he did not have a positive effect on the team. A recent comment from Rick Tocchet about his goaltender surely suggests otherwise.
Not only did he incenses him over his work ethic, but stated that Demko was nothing short of a great leader within the organization:
«I knew, obviously, he was a top goalie. But I didn't know the work ethic he had. And leadership qualities; he's one of the leaders.»
The Canucks' star netminder was stellar in yesterday's outing stopping all 33 shots sent his way. He made a few highlight-worthy saves including this one:
Per Tocchet's saying, Demko, has been all over him to get some more ice time. Demko has shown everyone his true abilities as of late. If he displays his superstar abilities when next fall comes, the team will surely not be having the same conversation when comes the end of the season.
