TRADE ALERT | The Montreal Canadiens and Colorado Avalanche swap first round selections
It's been a busy day so far as a second deal reached completion and it may not be over.
The Canadiens and the Avalanche have linked in a trade for the former 1st rounder Alex Newhook. The Avs will put their hands on the 31st overall, the 37th and Gianni Fairbrother.
The 16th overall draft pick from the 2019 draft, Newhook needed a change of scenery since he had yet to reach his potential. The author of 30 points in 82 games this season he'll definitely be a potential breakout candidate with his new team.
