An NHL insider has given an update on the Vancouver Canucks' pursuit of unrestricted free agent forward Jack Roslovic, who remains unsigned as of Wednesday afternoon.

After a disappointing 2024-25 campaign, which saw the club miss the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the fourth time in the last five seasons, the Vancouver Canucks are hoping to turn things around starting this fall and have already taken some big steps towards a return to the postseason.
General Manager Patrik Allvin was able to re-sign Brock Boeser to a long-term contract, keeping him in Vancouver until the summer of 2032, while also adding some more scoring help in a trade with the Edmonton Oilers that saw the club land Evander Kane.
The Vancouver Canucks are reportedly not done adding yet and appear to have at least one free agent centerman on their radar as the summer rolls along.

During an appearance on Sekeres and Price earlier this week, Cam Robinson of Elite Prospects gave an update on Vancouver Canucks free agent target Jack Roslovic.
According to Robinson, the Canucks have had a good amount of contact with Jack Roslovic and his camp at times this summer, but there are other teams that are in the mix for his services for the 2025-26 season.
"We know [the Canucks have] been in contact with Roslovic's team, a good amount; there's a handful of clubs that are kicking the tires on him." Robinson said.
Despite the Canucks being in talks with Jack Roslovic, Robinson later added that he isn't too sure if the team has made a good enough offer to the 28-year-old as of Monday.
"He was expecting this to take while; I'm not even 100% sure that [the Canucks have] put a solid offer in front of him yet" Robinson said.
Roslovic, a native of Columbus, Ohio, has been linked to the Vancouver Canucks for the majority of July as Patrik Allvin looks to add some more depth at the center ice position.
The former first round pick is coming off a solid year with the Carolina Hurricanes where he registered 39 points in 81 games, while tying a career-high in goals with 22 and it's still a bit of a surprise that he's unsigned this late into the offseason.
With the Vancouver Canucks having a little less than $3.3 million available in cap space, Patrik Allvin is poised to strike and potentially bring Jack Roslovic to British Columbia where he would more than likely slide into the 3C hole, allowing Filip Chytil to stay as the second line center and of course, Elias Pettersson being on the top line.
We'll have to wait and see how things progress on the Jack Roslovic front in the coming days and weeks, but with other teams in the mix, as Cam Robinson reported, Patrik Allvin may have to act quickly so he doesn't miss out on someone who could certainly help the team's bottom-six.
