As a young player coming out of the NCAA, a lot of changes are occurring in his surroundings and there will definitely be an adjustment period for the 23-year-old. Tocchet came up to the media and revealed that the team's leadership group made a very important gesture toward the new-comer and it definitely sets the tone for the future:

Tocchet advanced that the leadership group took the young man to dinner to help him settle into his new role. The switch from College to the Pros surely isn't as easy as it seems and Quinn Hughes surely is one to know that since he came up from the NCAA not too long ago.

Tocchet has noted a few things about the young man's playing abilities. At this point, everyone is well aware that McDonough had developed quite the scoring touch in his time in College.
