WOW: Horvat shows the new coach why he's the captain
Bo Horvat is in a tough spot, he captains a team who recently made a coaching change when his contractual situation and his future with the team are still really uncertain.
Rick Tocchet made a statement on the matter and it truly shows how professional he is and why he's this team's heart and soul.
"First thing out of his mouth to me was : Wherever I go or regardless of what happens, I'm locked in. I'm your guy. I'm your captain."
Tocchet was evidently impressed with the captain, especially since, let's face it, he may be gone in no later than 2 weeks. From these comments, Tocchet knew he had a character guy in hand and that he was locked in for him.
From the recent information we've gathered, the Canucks are still letting us hope that Horvat may re-sign with the team.
