Jori Jones, a freshman goaltender that played for the Gustavus Adolphus College women's hockey team (Gustavus Alpophus won the NCAA DIII national championship in March.) passed away in a car accident with three other teammates.
Travelling on Sunday afternoon, the Quatuor of teammates collided with another vehicle on the highway, and the results were tragic. The young netminder succumbed to her injuries after being taken to the nearest hospital. Her three teammates riding along were also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
We, Canucks Daily, wish to send our deepest condolences to her family, friends and organization.
